1. What made you choose to lose weight?

When I looked in the mirror in disgust and screamed “I HATE YOU”. I QUICKLY broke down in tears, seated on my bed and feeling sorry for myself. It strike me that no-one can repair this but myself. I got to discover something, anything to like about myself therefore i could concentrate on that and function hard to fix the items I didn’t like about myself.

2. What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?

Drinking a whole lot of water. I beverage 10 glasses each day and I in fact went from hating drinking water to craving it. I taken out fried foods out of my daily food diet and stopped drinking sodas. I learned that willpower is just a muscle and every time I flex it, the stronger it will get. I also learned that anything worth having in life won’t come easy and anything that comes easy, most likely isn’t worth having. So I push through my workouts and push myself hard. I went from hating to workout to making it a daily habit.

3. What was most challenging on the subject of losing weight?

To determine the difference between true hunger and boredom. To learn to eat to live, not live to eat. Being someone who loves to cook, loves food, lived for food, it’s been hard to relearn how to cook. When I first started this journey, I didn’t give up on my favorite points. I monitored my intake and still ate what I wanted. Now after 2 years I am eating healthier but my goals are different.

4. How long did it take you to begin to see results?

I was a big girl and noticed results after a month of beginning. I didn’t discover them in the mirror but I did so see them when I placed on clothes and noticed how loose factors were fitting.

5. How long achieved it take that you can achieve your current weight?

Close to 2 years. three years on and off but 24 months steady.

6. How long perhaps you have maintained your bodyweight loss and how will you do it?

I’ve experienced my 120’s for a couple months today. I count my calorie consumption and understand the limit my body needs to stay in a maintenance mode. I am not really trying to maintain, but it doesn’t hurt my feelings that I’m maintaining. I wouldn’t mind losing another 5 pounds.

7. How has your daily life changed given that you’ve lost weight?

To even talk about this makes me tear up. I’m smaller right now then I’ve ever been. In high school I was 150 pounds and now I’m 120 pounds. When people I went to high school with or grew up with see me now, they don’t even recognize me unless they’ve followed me on Facebook.

I’ve always been told We couldn’t or wouldn’t do stuff that I actually have done and Personally i think proud to state I did it. To listen to my mother say that I’ve never trapped to anything like I trapped to this besides my relationship and my kids, and understanding she understands I’m very seriously interested in this journey, means so very much to me. I’ve discovered the difference between what I’d like in as soon as and what I wish for life. What I want for life trumps anything I’d like in an instant. I’ve learned that whenever I crave a bag of chips, to essentially ask myself, “Will this obtain me nearer to my goals and perform I want it today or is this a thing that I want that can help me on the way?” Great deal of thought usually causes me to place it down and leave. Not all the time, I am still human.

I also have people coming to me at all times, asking me “what is your secret?” It amazes me how so many people are inspired and motivated but when I tell them the big key of counting calories and working out, I get told “I can’t do that.” Why not? I did! But I think the most amazing part of all this is my mom seeing me change while she was also 100 pounds over her ideal excess weight. She asked me what I was carrying out and I informed her my program and she started carrying it out. We both today weigh the same and we are able to wear each other’s clothing! She’s 55 years previous and she achieved it. She do it because I did so it and that assists me keep pushing to remain fit and adhere to my goals.

Right now he tells me how proud he is of me and he wraps his arms around me and says, “I like that I can wrap my arms all the way around you.” That is what makes everything worth it for me.

During my last pregnancy We were identified as having gestational diabetes. I in fact showed signals of diabetes before I was pregnant and I’m confident I acquired diabetes before my being pregnant but never got tested. WHEN I had my baby gal and dropped 70 pounds in my own pregnancy I was diabetes free of charge. I no more have any signals of diabetes. I was informed by my diabetic doctor that a lot of women who have diabetes during pregnancy still have it after pregnancy, but I worked well hard and did what I was told and no longer do I battle with insulin or have to see a doctor. I’m 100% healthy!

8. How did the The Beta Switch help you reach your weight loss goals?

The best piece of advice that was given to me and I still stand by it today would be that there is a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses and expect only results. I’ve been interested in slimming down but I had never dedicated myself to carrying it out. When I did so finally commit, nothing at all stood in my own way. To me, fortunately I find the book – the Beta Switch with it I accomplish the whole weight loss journey because it provided a lot helpful knowledge, tips and a perfect diet plan. You are worthwhile and you will need to find something about yourself that you like. Focus on that and combat for what you need the most in life. No one can do it but you. Baked Greek yogurt battered chicken, steamed asparagus and brown rice.

Snacks

Luna protein bar, Greek yogurt, strawberries, apples, oranges, celery sticks, cucumbers dipped in hummus, fat-free frozen yogurt, handful of almonds.

I don’t start weight training yet.
