Uses of Cannabis plants

Although it is still taboo, the fact is that cannabis oil or CBD oil is widely used in the treatment of various mild to severe ailments. CBD has no psychoactive effects but brings medical benefits to the body and even edibles like gummy bears can be produced which are packet in bottle in the market with many benefits.

Hearing the word marijuana, you must have thought that this is an illegal object.  But in fact, marijuana contains compounds that are claimed to be beneficial to human health.  The compound is CBD or Cannabidiol until now, CBD in marijuana is still a debate, especially regarding its safety and side effects in its use.

Know What is CBD

Cannabidiol or CBD is a type of cannabinoid or a naturally occurring compound found the cannabis and hemp plants.  Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or other types of cannabinoids, CBD does not cause the hangover or “floating” feeling associated with marijuana use. It is legal to sell hemp and marijuana products.  But that doesn’t mean all hemp-derived cannabidiol products are legal.  Cannabidiol is included in the category of new drugs and is not legal if it is included in food or dietary supplements.  Cannabidiol can only be included in cosmetic products and only if it contains less than 0.3% THC only.

The collected hemp seeds can be used to extract the oil for cooking. The oil from the seeds is very high in omega 3. It also contains omega 6, omega 9, linoleic acid, alpha- and gamma-linolenic acid, and vitamins such as vitamin E.  Beneficial for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.  And help reduce the incidence of cancer in the body as well.

The oil from the seeds can be used to make dry cleaning oils, make soaps, cosmetics, sunscreens, shampoos, soaps, body lotions, lipsticks, lip balms, face mask or even as fuel. It was developed as a hydrating and nourishing hemp oil cream formulation as a highly effective treatment for dry, itchy and psoriasis skin.

Seeds, in addition to providing oil.  It was also found to be very high in protein.  It can be used to make many different products such as butter, cheese, tofu, agricultural protein, milk, ice cream, salad oil, snacks, food supplement, etc. which in the future may be used as an alternative to consumption as a substitute for GMOs soybeans.

CBD side effects

The side effects of cannabis oil usually do not pose a major risk to the user.  However, side effects may occur, such as:

  • Depression
  • Dizzy
  • hallucination
  • Low blood pressure
  • Irritability and diarrhoea
  • Changes in appetite and weight
  • Fatigue

These are few side effects of consuming it.
